LABEL PROFILE

Jill Crabb and Helen Miraudo are the designers behind United Constructions. United Constructions does not follow current fashion trends, instead the designers mould their own ideas, seasonally from various sources. Unconventionally, they draw on their sense of humour when designing and tend to never take life too seriously. When creating a collection, they draw inspiration from everyday objects. They look to artwork, artists, people they meet, music, travels, and other countries and cultures for new ideas. Both designers hold great respect for the traditional craftsmanship of the old design houses.

United Constructions garments are special because of their attention to detail, everything is thought out and their construction inside is as beautiful as that on the outside. Without compromising style, the garments are carefully manufactured in WA using luxurious fabrics that are comfortable and easy to wear.

United Constructions is now stocking boutiques around Australia and New Zealand. The designers hope to export throughout Asia in the near future. The duo raised the label’s profile throughout New Zealand and internationally during their involvement in Air New Zealand Fashion Week, in 2009. The New Zealand market has proved a huge success to this brand and is an important market.
