Designer: Fenella Peacock
Perth-born Fenella started her fashion career as Empire Line in Sydney during the 1980s and re entered fashion launching the highly successful international label Antipodium with her sister Ashe Peacock and Geoffrey J Finch. It quickly became the darling of the UK fashion scene and IT girls Alexa Chung and Jessie J became devout brand fans, with Alexa becoming the label͛s ambassador in its early years and continuing a relationship today. After heading up design and production for several years, she stepped out of Antipodium in 2011 to launch her own label Fenella Peacock. Heavily influenced by Japanese design and cloth itself, she felt the time was right to step out of the Antipodium momentum to create a label that was indulgent of her love for nurturing textiles and timeless design. Today, the Fenella Peacock brand continues as a bespoke label and Fenella has become inspired by indigenous art, design and cultural garments, so has widened her brand to create contemporary collections that incorporate traditional arts-based textiles and accessories.
