Here it is Wednesday morning and the lovely Aly May has forwarded on some pictures from the event to me that were sent to her from Georgia…so here I am posting them for you to have a look at as well.

Hopefully there will be more like this coming in the next few days so keep checking back and then you will be able to see some other great pictures of our night of nights!

As for me, the week has now settled down and I am yet to hit that post StyleAID slump that usually happens but that might be because we are still in the midst of renovations here in the office, so it is filled with painters, furniture movers and carpet layers and will be like this for a few more days…so no chance to sit and dwell just yet…

Perhaps this year there will not be that slump that usually hits around this time…touch wood…and I can just focus on my other work and beginning on our fabulous event for next year! Who knows?

Well here we are with just 3 more sleeps and I thought in the few minutes that the phone has not rung that I would write a quick blog to keep you…dear reader…up to date with what is going on.

We are officially sold out and the numbers have been sent off to the Convention Centre…659 guests will all be enjoying an amazing night on Friday! I started off with wanting to sell 650 but it has turned out that I have had some tables of 11 and 12 so that had taken us up a little bit.

I am starting to really get excited about what Friday will hold for all of the guests attending.  I have great feelings about the event this year!

Off to Aly’s tonight to do the last fitting for the parade.  The amazing new label Material Boy are showing as part of the event and it will be great!  It is always so good to have such innovative design talent as part of StyleAID and the buzz from these guys from MAFW was huge.  Should really have people entranced on the catwalk.

Just waiting for the final payments for a few tickets…which is always the way but know that these are all for people who will come through in the next day with their payments.

The table plan is done, the menus are printed, the auction presentation is completed, the model call times have all been done, Aly has done a simply amazing job as always coordinating the hair, makeup, walk through and model call times.  I do not think that this event would be what it is today without her.  She really is a shining example of a heavenly woman who gives 500% all the time.  I am blessed to be able to work next to her and hopefully have some of that brilliance rub off.

The tombola is moving along well, all thanks to the amazing Steph Patniotis who has worked with Annette, Penni and Emily to nail those prizes down.  She is another shining star who gives so much and whom I really treasure as part of the StyleAID team.

I should also mention Penni Towner here who has also done a superb job, liasing, running around, phoning, planning, table planning and being an amazing assistant and help to me over the past few weeks.  She is just fantastic!

All in all the main team that I work with on a day to day basis have all again stepped up to the mark and really excelled in getting this event ready for Friday night.

I hope those of you who will be attending will see all of that hard work borne out on the night!

I will again attempt to do some more updates as the night approaches but they may become briefer as we move towards Friday night, although I have to say I am well and truly a head of schedule and that is good as it means that little things like the designer who agreed to dress the Ballet deciding that he could no longer do it 3 days before the event can get some attention in seeking a solution.

Nearly all the stock for the gift bags has arrived as well…it will be amazing this year.  European Foods have created a special Braziliano coffee pack for our guests this year that they will get in their gift bags along with a range of other fantastic things, making it another amazing gift bag again this year.

That is enough, the phone has just started ringing again.

Well with just over 2 weeks before the big night ticket sales have gone through the roof in the past few days.

We are now overbooked and I am just following up on people who are yet to pay so that I can officially say that we are sold out.

Watch this space…!!!

We are gearing up for the best night ever…and I might have another surprise announcement in the next few days about another sensational door prize stand along side the vmoto but more on that when I have it confirmed.

Oh and if you are interested I only have 1 VIP table left, all 8 of the others have now sold…so if you have been thinking about it get in touch real quick or you will miss out.

Our fabulous VIP guests this year who are all paying top dollar for prime seats at the event will also receive a swag of goodies that have been secured just for them.

On top of seats right next to the catwalk so they feel like they are part of the fashion parade they will also receive Veuve Clicquot Champagne served at the table, as well as a bottle of Baileys that will be served to them when dessert comes out.

They will be provided with special gifts from Bulgari fragrances, M.A.C cosmetics, vmoto, SONY Music and more as our way of saying thank you for paying top dollar to support StyleAID, WA Fashion and the work of the WA AIDS Council.

Interest is running high with our fantastic 1 carat diamond from Stefan The Diamond Centre being offered to one lucky guest on the night.

As was mentioned at our launch party last week one of our guests who purchases a red wrist band with a key attached will be able to try the lock to see if they unlock the treasure chest…if they do they will get the stunning diamond and also get to have it made into a superb piece of jewellery.

What an amazing prize and all thanks to one of the newest sponsors for this year Stefan The Diamond Centre.

Watch out for the media to follow on from the STM pics from the sponsors do last week in the West on Wednesday and the Western Suburbs Weekly.

Great to see such support from the print media of Perth for this event.

They have always been great in getting behind StyleAID and the WA AIDS Council.

Tonight we are having one of our last committee meetings before the event and photographer Ivan Shaw (his pic was on the front cover of STM the other week) is going to come along and take the annual committee photo.

This will be then be used on our website and also in the nearly completed StyleAID magazine which will be seen on the night of StyleAID.

Time is ticking fast and interest is gaining…still a few tickets to sell and we are getting on top of that now…

 Better head up stairs and prepare for the meeting…

It all began with bump in at midday yesterday and the setting up of the photographs and ended at about 9.30pm last night with everything returned to the board room of the WA AIDS Council.

The sponsors thank you party returned to StyleAID this year and seemed to be appreciated by all who attended.

After a break of a couple of years it was decided this year that it would be a good idea to hold an event to say thank you to our sponsors for their continued support of the event and to welcome our newest sponsors into the fold.

In the past 9 years StyleAID has been growing and addind sponsors each year and this year is no exception.

With the 22 fantastic photographs from 20 talented photographers on display this was going to be a wonderful night.  Each of the photographers created a vision using the Heaven theme and interpreted this with the assistance of an outfit from one of 20 designers.

This formed the backdrop for last nights event and created an amazing vista in the Swan Room of the Parmelia Hilton Perth, along with some stunning lighting, draping and a plasma screen showing all our sponsors logos from the talented guys at LUX, OMG Events and Power Music.

With the support of Veuve Clicquot (served to all our guests) along with Chalice Bridge Wines, Gage Roads Beer and San Pellegrino this was a night to begin the building of the hype that surrounds StyleAID each year.

A menu of cocktail food was specially created by the chefs at the Hilton for this night and the guests all loved the food and the exceptional service as well!

With a specially designed centrepiece of hand made chocolates featuring StyleAID signs to compliment the stunning food and the Veuve this was a night to remember.

Media mingled with sponsors, photographers, designers and the board of the AIDS Council to fill the Swan Room with a really up vibe.

The only formalities on the night were a sensational speech given by Trish Langdon the Executive Director of the WA AIDS Council, which was really well received by all in attendance.  Thanking our sponsors and encouraging people to enjoy the photographs, Trish also announced the inclusion of a new sponsor for the night - Stefan The Diamond Centre who are providing a $10000 1 carat diamond for our exclusive treasure chest on the night for one lucky guest to win.

So more drinking and eating followed and the night ended with a few last stragglers taking one last look at the stunning photography before heading out into the wet Perth evening.

This was a great beginning to the lead up to the best fashion fundraising event in Perth.

How fantastic!  Just got word today that vmoto are returning to StyleAID in 2006.

After being involved with the donation of a scooter and gifts for VIP’s last year they have again joined StyleAID with the donation of a scooter!

This year the scooter will be given away on the night to one lucky guest as our fantastic door prize!  So if you needed yet another incentive to be a part of the party of the year, as if there wasn’t already so much on offer, then this is it!

A big thank you to vmoto for again joining the party that is StyleAID 2006 - Heaven.

For the second year StyleAID has made it to the cover of STM magazine - to be found in the Sunday Times for those of you who do not read your weekend papers!

With an article about our finale photography this is a sensational start to the PR and marketing aspect of the event in print media and goes with our great TVC at Network Ten which has been showing for the past 4 weeks.

We will also be seen in the next issue of Cleo to hit the stands in a couple of weeks…
