Well in record time this year we booked out but I do have a waiting list going as I am sure there will be a number of people who will have drop outs or will not end up paying for the tickets they booked so get in touch with me quickly to get near the top of the list…I already have 40 on it but never fear you could still get tickets to what has become the number one fashion fundraising event in Perth.

Well STYLEAID fans it seems that life is moving along quickly in the world of STYLEAID and there are now only 22 tickets left before we are booked out (that is 22 out of 750) and I start the annual waiting list for tickets.

I am so proud and pleased that we are at this stage and to be nearly booked out over 6 weeks pre the event is amazing.  At this stage I would think we will probably book out by the end of this week.

Then it will be waiting for those who did not get in quickly enough to get their names on the waiting list.

So make sure if you want to attend the fashion fundraising event of the year that you get in quickly to secure your seats.

This promises to be the night of nights with 21 amazing designers showing ranges that will not have been on the catwalk in Perth…along with amazing Knee Deep Wines, ABSOLUT Vodka, Gage Roads Beer, Blue Angel Cider, San Pellegrino Mineral Water and a specially designed menu we will have a night that will long be talked about.

Well blog followers we only have 120 tickets (or 12 tables) left to STYLEAID this year and I think it will only be a couple of weeks before we are sold out…

Do not hesitate because you will miss out.  We will not be adding any tables so get in quick…this will be the 8th year in a row that we have sold out!

Well work is moving along at a rapid pace at present with lots going on behind the scenes as preparations for STYLEAID crank into full gear.  With all the sponsors signed and the Nicolas Feuillatte STYLEAID Sponsors night locked in at (A)LURE in June and the ticket sales going off things are powering along.

With 52 of 75 tables now prebooked we are booking faster than previous years which is great news as I thought perhaps we might struggle a bit this year with the economic downturn affecting us all but I am so pleased that so many of our usual supporters have come back and recognised their desire to continue to support STYLEAID and the work of the WA AIDS Council.  It means that we are on track to once again raise some vital funds for the work that WAAC is doing in the community here in Perth.

The feedback has also been great so far for the new website with lots of fantastic comments and it is thanks to the great team at BAM for doing such an amazing job once again this year.  The site just gets better and better and I am fortunate to have one of the best design teams on board from Aly and her styling of the photoshoot to Stefan Gossati who took the pics, the models, Carol from M.A.C and Sue from BeBaBeau who did the hair to Desiree who created the invitations, tickets and is now at work on the STYLEAID magazine this year and Jay, Patima and of course Miles at BAM who once again designed and host the website.

We have some of the most loyal supporters and sponsors and each year they return to outdo what they did the year before.

Thanks to each of them for their vision, style and creativity…it really means alot.

Well it is now official this year we will be having 3 hosts and not just 2…in the past we have had one some years and two others but this year we have 3 sensational hosts who will be combining onstage to help keep the night moving.

Returning for a second year is the wonderful Narelda Jacobs who made her first appearance onstage last year with Paul O’Brien and wowed the crowd with her poise, glamour and style.  As the face of Network Ten News Narelda is a consumate professional and also a wonderful person and a great supporter of both STYLEAID and the WA AIDS Council, so it is great to have her back again this year.

Joining Narelda will be 2 other Network Ten people who have risen to dizzy heights over the past couple of years…Rhys Borbidge will be remembered as the stunning dancer who made it to the final of the first season of So You Think You Can Dance Australia who has now launched a recording career with a single out now and an album soon to follow.  He is fun, charming and will be a great addition to the host slot this year.

 And finally Alison Braun, who was the stunning runner up in the 2008 season of Biggest Loser rounds out the team.  She is a passionate advocate for a number of causes in Perth and her star is on the rise with a profile that promises great things in the next couple of years and beyond.  It is great to have her with us this year and these 3 great personalities will add yet another dimension to STYLEAID WOW.

Well this year I am pleased to announce a range of new and improved sponsors who will join our long time supporters at STYLEAID.

Australia Post, Fleet Partners, PerthNow, ABSOLUT Vodka, 92.9, Knee Deep Wines, ForrestChase, Daniels Printing, Travelworld Inglewood and Nicolas Feuillatte Champagne all join the STYLEAID family this year and are welcome additions.

Each company builds a unique aspect of themselves to the event and I am hoping that they will become long term supporters of the event like European Foods, Braziliano Coffee, San Pellegrino, Gage Roads Brewing, OMG Events, LUX, Funky Bunches, Box Magazine, Stefan The Diamond Centre, Stockman Paper, Kova Sound, vmoto and the Burswood Entertainment Centre.

Our sponsors are integral to this event being the success that it is and it is with their cash and in-kind support that we are able to raise the money that we do each year!

I first thought that this might be a year that we struggled a bit, what with the economic downturn etc but with our VIP tables already sold out and nearly 50 of the 75 tables already pre-booked it looks like we are once again heading for a sell out event.

Next week I look forward to telling you all about our hosts of this year…let me give you a bit of a teaser in that we will be having 3 this year sharing the onstage load…and great talent all of them.

Well with only 9 weeks until the big night and the STYLEAID website now live the blog has now been updated and I hope to bring you lots of news over the coming weeks in the build up to the big night.

This year we have loads of new sponsors, after some from last year left us, and the night promises to be bigger and better than ever.

Well here we are just 6 weeks out from STYLEAID and the buzz is building…after our very successful Veuve Clicquot Sponsors night on Wednesday at (A)LURE at the Burswood Entertainment Complex - look out for the pics to hit the social pages next week!

Tonight sees us move the photographic exhibition into the Turner gallery for 3 weeks…so if you get a chance do drop in and have a look at some of the great shots on show.
