This year the STYLEAID team is made up of Mark Reid, Aly May, Annette Hasluck, Carol Mackie for M.A.C, Paul McClurg, Tony Salom, Stephanie Patniotis, Oscar Chong, Miles Burke, Ricky Arnold, Gavin McGurren, Desiree Selvey and Georgia McDonnell-Adams.
Mark Reid
Fundraising, Marketing & Events Manager WA AIDS Council
As a former Governor of the AIDS Trust of Australia and as STYLEAID events co-ordinator, Mark has over 17 years of fundraising experience and joined the committee for the first event in 1998. His passion for the work of the AIDS Council and the WA Fashion industry remain as strong as they were for the first event.
Aly May
Perth’s most respected stylist and parade choreographer, Ali May has over 20 years experience and is a founding member of STYLEAID. She once again brings her vision, talent and experience to ensure that the STYLEAID parade is one of the most anticipated parades of the year.
Annette Hasluck
Driven by a passion for design Annette’s background brings an exciting dimension to the committee and is a founding member of STYLEAID. Annette has a passion for the event that has seen her recommit year after year to give of her time to ensure that the event always makes those much needed dollars for the WA AIDS Council.
Carol Mackie for M.A.C
Recognised as one of the top make-up artists in Perth, Carol’s skill see her working for M.A.C here in Perth and she has been a part of the make-up team for STYLEAID for the past 7 years. With an amazing talent for makeup Carol designs the looks for the models that grace the catwalk each year.
Paul McClurg
Award winning hair designer Paul McClurg (winner of the 2005 Hairdresser of the Year) brings his cutting edge style to the event and is a founding member of STYLEAID. Paul’s desire to bring the hottest cutting edge concepts to the hair design for the models ensures that each designers vision is met.
Tony Salom
Tony Salom brings his expertise in Audio/ Visual/ Lighting and Production management, coming from a successful career in these arenas over the last 5 years in Perth and with experience on Eastern Shores. Tony has produced events in WA Fashion Week, and for clients the likes of Empire Rose, Elle, The Colonnade and Wayne Cooper. He also produced the last 2 years events.
Miles Burke
As Managing Director of website company Bam Creative, Miles has been involved in the design and development of websites since 1994. He is the founder of the Australian Web Industry Association, Port 80 and serves on a number of committees. Miles joined the STYLEAID committee in 2005.
Georgia McDonnell-Adams
This is the girl who never sleeps... Publicist for leading boutique public relations company - Fashionist, Georgia has been cutting her way through the fashion and lifestyle industry for the last 6 years. Specialising in the fashion industry, Georgia's expertise includes events management, brand building, creative styling, publicity and promotional strategies. Her enthusiasm, hard work and attention to detail ensures everyone in Perth if not Australia, know what's going on!
Ricky Arnold
Trained as an animator in UK, Ricky has been in Perth for 15 years. He has a history of public art projects, running Lesbian and Gay Pride, working at the Art Gallery of WA and currently a Senior Project Officer at Department of Culture and the Arts. Loves eating out, beach, dancing and hanging out with friends..
Stephanie Patniotis
Stephanie is a young dynamic member of the STYLEAID crew who first joined the committee in 2006. With her own Marketing and Events Company, p2 Marketing and Events and now also working as the Promotions Manager at Greater Union this 20 Years Old is a hardworking, enthusiastic member of the STYLEAID family.
Gavin McGurren
As editor in chief at Lasso Media and also major contributor to Gay in WA Gavin has a strong media background that he brings to the STYLEAID committee. For the second year he has once again provided his skills to edit and direct the STYLEAID magazine.
Oscar Chong
Award winning photographer Oscar Chong joined the STYLEAID committee 3 years ago and brings his immense wealth and knowledge around visual representation to the STYLEAID committee. Having produced images for the last 3 events Oscar has seen to fruition the vision of the design team photographically and with his usual flair and finesse created some truly amazing images. He owns his own photographic business and can be found jetting between Perth, Singapore and Hong Kong on a regular basis to fulfil the requirements of a large international client base.
Desiree Selvery
Desiree joined the STYLEAID committee in 2005 and is a graduate from the Western Australian School of Art Design and Media. She is a hard working young professional who has been in the industry for 6 years. Desiree has deep appreciation of the arts from the graphical to fashion and brings her creative eye to the STYLEAID team. She thrives within the Creative Environment of STYLEAID.
