Each year a dedicated team of volunteers comes together to put on the fashion fundraising event of the year.

STYLEAID has become one of the hottest fundraising nights in town and this year is no exception.

The production team that works tirelessly to put together the event is lead by a great team of visionaries that each year out do themselves with their sense of style and artistic integrity.

Lead by Aly May, Stylist extraordinaire (assisted by the lovely Corinne Marshall), the team brings together some of the top names in hair, makeup, lighting, staging, modelling and design to ensure that STYLEAID again sets the trends in showcasing spring/summer collections from some of the top designers in Perth.

Group shows are never an easy thing to coordinate but with this team of style leaders the event has moulded itself in the past 6 years into an unforgettable experience.

Work begins on STYLEAID some 10 months before the event when the committee gathers to look at some of the basics for the forthcoming event.

What will the theme for this year be? Where will the event be held? What date will the event be held on? Who will be involved?

An initial discussion as to the designers to include in the event also happens at this time with a long list put together for consideration in the coming months.

This year the STYLEAID team decided to call in a production manager who would be responsible for coordinating the staging, lighting and sound in cooperation with Aly May and event coordinator Mark Reid.

Tony Salom brings his multi talented skills with him to this role and working closely with Matrix productions promises a lighting feast for the fashion parade and a stunning array of looks for the main marquee post the parade.

With the ever talented Hendra and Carol from M.A.C leading the makeup team and Paul McClurg working on his vision for the hair the creative team is completed with our media and PR duo of Paul O'Connor and Emma Phillips.

From the initial photoshoot at Blinc Studios, with the official STYLEAID photographer Oscar Chong, to the meetings to discuss looks, model castings, lighting design and sound this group works together to make this event the success that it is.

Along with the hard working prize and raffle committee made up of Annette Hasluck, Tanja Brooks, Julia Stanley along with Tonia McNeilly working on tombola we round out the team of people pulled in to work for 10 months pre the event. As the months tick by and things get finalised the event moves closer to fruition and more volunteers come on board.

Sponsors are signed, models walk for selection and more photoshoots happen.
