ABOUT STYLEAID2004 // NOIR
STYLEAID is Perth's opportunity to join the worldwide force of fashion fundraisers fighting HIV and AIDS. STYLEAID is a global fashion event originating in the US fifteen years ago and making its Australian debut twelve years ago in Melbourne.
STYLEAID 2003 was heralded as one of the most memorable gala events of the year's fundraising social calendar and the best STYLEAID to date! Both local and national media reported on the evening declaring STYLEAID an overwhelming success. Highlights included the opening showstopper with a team from The Ninth Floor featuring Rolenda Ranieri. The parade that followed featured 7 of WA's top designers and four of Perth's new emerging designers. Following in the main marquee were a series of stunning shows featuring the WA Ballet, the Drag Kings and sensational R & B soul singer Jeremy Gregory.
Each year that STYLEAID has been held, tickets have sold out well in advance with not only the very stylish and brand conscious attending but also prolific members of the community, all wanting to support this important charity and have a great night out.
In 2004 an exciting affair of sexy glamour, stunning fashion and fine dining is planned with Western Australia's top designers previewing their 2004/2005 spring/summer collections for both men and women, which will include 4 of the top new emerging designers. For the third year, in what has become a major part of the evening the focus will be solely on Western Australian Designers show casing their amazing talent.
Innovative and ground breaking are words often associated with STYLEAID
and this year we will be presenting a finale like no other seen in
Perth to date. Working within the theme of NOIR we will be weaving
a mystical spell over our guests with a 'couture' experience that
will long be remembered.
STYLEAID has the support of 150 volunteers, who work for over nine months to create a night of flawless quality and sophisticated style.
In just the six years since STYLEAID in Perth began over $200,000 has been raised to help fund vital support programs for people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS at the West Australian AIDS Council.
