VOLUNTEERING
Like many community based organisations, the work we do
would not be possible without the hard work and dedication
of the large number of volunteers.
We currently have over 250 active volunteers who work
tirelessly with the WA AIDS Council.
In turn volunteers receive terrific opportunities for
self growth, learning and meeting new and interesting
people.
We are very fortunate to have some great volunteers but
always need more to assist with the programs listed in
this brochure. Comprehensive training is provided.
There are many opportunities to volunteer. Volunteers
can help to educate the community, improve the quality
of life for people living with HIV, provide support, staff
the Needle and Syringe Exchange van, help with fundraising
events, just to name a few possibilities.
Volunteer Information Evenings are held regularly. If
you want to know more, visit our website www.waaids.com.
