In 2002 an exciting affair of chic glamour, fashion, food
and fine wine is planned with twenty of Western Australia’s
top designers previewing their 2002/2003 spring and summer
collections for both men and women, which will include
8 of the top new aspiring designers. Designers this year
include: Aurelio Costarella, C Design, Megan Salmon, Ruth
Tarvydas and Sachi. For the first time in Perth, the focus
will be solely on Western Australian Designers show casing
their amazing talent.
StyleAID has the support of 150 volunteers, who work
for over six months to create a night of flawless quality
and sophisticated style.
In just the four years since StyleAID in Perth began
over $114,000 has been raised to help fund vital support
programs for people living with and affected by HIV/AIDS.
In both 2000 and 2001 the exclusive StyleAID program
won gold medals at the Printing Industry Awards for
excellence.
In December 2001 Event Coordinator Mark Reid was awarded
an inaugural World AIDS Day award for his work with
HIV/AIDS spanning over 15 years.
Over the past 5 years an incredible team of dedicated
fashion and events professionals have worked to ensure
the success of StyleAID.
This year the StyleAID team is made up of Mark Reid,
Aly May, Annette Hasluck, Dominique Monteleone, Emma
Phillips, Hendra for M.A.C, Marie Hewson, Paul McClurg,
Paul O’Connor, Russell Dewson-Jones>, Sean Lofts
and Tonia McNeilly.

experience and joined the committee in 1999
Aly May
Perth’s most respected stylist and parade choreographer,
Ali May has over 20 years experience and is a founding
member of StyleAID.
Annette Hasluck
Driven by a passion for design Annettes background brings
an exciting dimension to the committee and is a founding
member of StyleAID.
Dominique Monteleone
With exceptional national and international fashion,
event and style experience, Dominique joined the committee
in 2001.
Emma Phillips
PR extraordinaire, Emma has directed the media and publicity
campaigns and is a founding member of StyleAID.
Hendra for M.A.C
Recognised as the top make-up artist in Perth, Hendra’s
skill has led him to a contract with M.A.C and is a
founding member of StyleAID.
Marie Hewson
With a penchant for good food and good fun and as one
of Perth’s top businesswomen, Marie joined the
StyleAID committee this year.
Paul McClurg
Award winning hair designer Paul McClurg brings his
cutting edge style to the event and is a founding member
of StyleAID.
Paul O’Connor
Artist, stylist and fashion journalist Paul O’Connor
has an inherent eye for all things fashion and is a
founding member of StyleAID.
Russell Dewson-Jones
As an integral member of the Fundraising, Marketing
& Events team at the WA AIDS Council, Russell brings
a wealth of business knowledge and expertise and joined
the committee in 2002.
Sean Lofts
After working on StyleAID in New Zealand and a number
of different events in the eastern states, Sean joined
the committee in 2002.
Tonia McNeilly
Previously Executive Director of Perth Fashion Week
and a fashion journalist, Tonia has a dramatic and creative
flair and joined the committee in 2001.
